Drawn rivets, also known as cup-type blind rivets, are structural blind rivets. After riveting, the broken part of the nail core will be flanged into the groove of the rivet body to lock the nail core.
There is not much difference between internal locking brushed rivets and external locking brushed rivets from the surface, and their mechanical properties are roughly the same. The main reason is that the locking structure after riveting is different. Under normal conditions, internal locking brushed rivets can be used with a conventional rivet gun, while external locking brushed rivets can be used. Rivets need to be matched with a corresponding rivet gun. What is the difference between internal locking wire drawing rivets and external locking wire drawing rivets?
a. The outer locking wire drawing rivet has a step slightly larger than the inner hole in the brim of the hat. After the rivet is fully expanded, there is a circle of material at the upper part of the breaking point of the nail core. Under the pressure of the boss of the rivet gun mouth, it is turned over and filled in. This step plays a locking role.
b. The diameter of the inner wall of the brim of the inner-locking wire drawing rivet is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the rivet tube. After the rivet is fully expanded, the slightly smaller inner diameter rhombus material will squeeze into a groove below the break point of the nail core to play a locking role.
